Want your funnel fed like this?
Speak to TalentoThe challenge
Situational Energy is a commercial energy broker: businesses hand over a utility bill, and 30+ suppliers compete for the account. The whole funnel starts with that bill. Getting a facility operator to send one on the strength of a cold call is the hardest yard in the business, and every bill in hand is a live deal. The brokerage needed a team that could source bills at volume, week after week.
The approach
Full disclosure: Situational Energy is one of our own ventures. Talento placed 3 dedicated SDRs on the campaign in 7 days, the same way we do for clients. We built lists of facility operators in deregulated markets: manufacturers, warehouses, retail chains, healthcare systems. The reps worked the phone with one low-friction ask: send the bill, get a rate comparison in two business days. The reps logged each bill and handed it to the brokerage team for supplier bidding.
What we did
Why this worked
The ask matched the offer. A bill costs the prospect two minutes and commits them to nothing, so the reps could win a yes on a first call. The lists targeted operators with real energy spend. And because this is our own venture, the campaign ran with our own money on the line: the same reps, dialer, and playbook we place with clients.
The results
22 utility bills sourced in the first 4 weeks: 8 live deals into the procurement funnel.
Each sourced bill is a business that asked for a quote, so the funnel it feeds converts at deal economics, not marketing economics.
Engagement
Internal venture campaign, run on the standard Talento playbook.
Talento places vetted, dedicated sales talent and runs the outbound motion end to end: lists, outreach, qualification, reporting. Placed in 7 days. A 30-day fit window, so if the fit is wrong we swap or replace.
